Contact dermatitis is skin inflammation caused by materials or substances that stick to the skin. Occupational contact dermatitis (DKAK) is a skin disease caused by the work environment that occurs a lot in the world and contributes to economic financing. In Indonesia, the prevalence of contact dermatitis varies widely. In 2018, reported cases of contact dermatitis due to work reached 63% in Bandar Lampung City. Occupational contact dermatitis is not life-threatening but causes high morbidity due to its recurrence, which causes suffering for workers and can affect the economy and quality of life. So, it is necessary to apply a holistic and comprehensive family doctor approach in detecting risk factors, clinical problems, and patient management based on evidence-based medicine and family-approached and patient-centered. This study is a case report of a 42-year-old male patient with occupational contact dermatitis. The internal factors in the case were lack of knowledge and he never used personal protective equipment. The external factor in this case was the lack of family knowledge. Pharmacological interventions were carried out in the form of betamethasone cream, cetirizine, and urea 10% and non-pharmacological interventions in the form of education to prevent recurrences. The diagnosis and management of this patient has been carried out holistically, patient centered, family approach and based on several theories and the latest research. In the behavior change process, patients and families have reached the action stage.
