Holistic Management of 46-Year-Old Patients with Stage I Hypertension, Stage I Obesity, and Dyspepsia Through a Family Doctor Approach

Hypertension is the number three cause of death, reaching 6.7% of the population at all ages in Indonesia. Lampung Province itself has a population of 24.7% of the population with hypertension, which means that there has been an increase in the number from the previous result of 24.1%. The risk factors for hypertension include factors that cannot be modified and can be modified, one of the modifiable factors is obesity. According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics for Lampung Province, dyspepsia was included in the ten most common cases of disease in Lampung Province in 2015 with a total of 62,613 cases. Hypertension, obesity, and dyspepsia can be controlled through a healthy lifestyle, and support from family and community is needed, therefore it is important to carry out holistic management through a family approach to patients.This study is a case report. Primary data were obtained through anamnesis, physical examination, and home visits to assess the physical environment. The assessment is based on a holistic diagnosis from the beginning, process, and end of the study.A 46-year-old female patient came with complaints of headaches since the previous four days and heartburn since the previous three days. The patient likes to eat salty food. Patients often eat late and eat greasy food. The patient rarely exercises. Patients do not know that hypertension, obesity and dyspepsia can be controlled through a healthy lifestyle. After treatment, there is an increase in knowledge and changes in behavior in patients and their families.The diagnosis and management of this patient has been carried out holistically, patient centered, family oriented, and community oriented based on several theories and recent research.
