Abstract

Most severe and very fatal cases of people with Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) can occur in the elderly or patients who have comorbidities such as: diabetes mellitus, lung disease, chronic kidney disease, hypertension and heart failure. Hypertension increases the risk of death by 2.7 times and can cause conditions that worsen the incidence of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). The reaserch is to find out the relationship between comorbid hypertension and COVID-19 infection in adult patients at Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek, Lampung Province in 2020. This research method is a quantitative analytic observational measuring instrument used by medical record data of adult patients who are confirmed positive for COVID-19 and patients receiving treatment have symptoms and signs similar to COVID-19 (suspected and probable patients) at RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek.). There is a relationship between comorbid hypertension and COVID-19 infection in adult patients at RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek, Lampung Province in 2020.
