Dacryoadenitis is an inflammatory process (inflammatory) in the secretory part (lacrimal gland). The lacrimal gland is a gland in the eye that secretes eye air. It can be classified into two, namely chronic and acute dacryoadenitis. Chronic and acute dacryoadenitis can be caused by an infectious process or as a result of other systemic diseases. In acute cases, patients come with complaints of new pain. In chronic cases, symptoms usually last up to 6 weeks or more. This research method began by searching articles on Google Scholar, PubMed and NCBI within the year range determined by the researcher and using the keywords dacryoadenitis, diagnosis of dacryoadenitis, treatment of dacryoadenitis. Cronic and acute dacryoadenitis can be caoused by an infectious process or as a result of other systemic diseased. The results of this study found that the diagnosis of dacryoadenitis can be made by history and physical examination. Treatment of dacryoadenitis depends on the etiology. If the etiology is not clearly deteminined after clinical laboratory evaluation, it is often wisest to treat empirically with antibiotics. Inflammation of the lacrimal glands is a rare disease and can be unilateral or bilateral
